Last week, you examined a technology with which you are already familiar and often use through the lens of the SAMR model. This week, you will continue to apply the SAMR model to emerging technology – one that has not yet been adopted by your organization – and evaluate whether or not it would be a worthwhile investment. In a slide presentation, including the following:
Slide 1: Title slide
Slide 2: Identify an emerging technology (that your organization has not yet adopted). A general Internet search for educational technology products can provide some insight into current trends, or the resource for this week titled “eLearning Toolkit” lists a number of different technologies from which to choose. Include a background of the tool/technology, along with its associated cost.
Slide 3: Using the SAMR model format, illustrate what the tool will redefine, modify, augment, and replace.
Slide 4: Using a side-by-side comparison table, compare the new technology with the technology that it likely would replace. What differences exist in terms of their cost, use, function, etc.?
Slide 5: Explain who will be affected by the adoption of this new technology. Who will benefit? Who will be impacted negatively?
Slide 6: References
Length: Minimum of 6 presentation slides, excluding title and reference slides.
References: Include a minimum of 3 scholarly resources.
The completed assignment should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. The content should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards and should adhere to Northcentral University's Academic Integrity Policy.
